When recharged, simply dial our access number 020 8497 0123 and follow the prompts.
How do I sign up to CHEAPESTCHAT?
To use CHEAPESTCHAT you don't need to register. Simply charge any telephone number - dial the access number and follow the menu.
Are there any other additional costs when using CHEAPESTCHAT?
The prices on our CHEAPESTCHAT access number are fully-inclusive. A connection fee of 4p applies on every call and is charged when the call abroad is connected. Our advertised rates are inclusive of VAT and include the cost of the international call!!
How do I find a rate to any country?
You can check the Rates page or use the ‘drop-down’ menu on the left. This is the price per minute for your call and includes VAT and the cost of the international part of the call. Calls are billed per second (BT, Telewest and NTL charge per second. For any other service providers please check directly with them).
How will my calls be billed?
The charges for calls to our recharge number and access number will simply appear on your regular telephone bill from your telephone provider (usually BT, Telewest or NTL).
Are there different peak and off-peak rates?
No! Our International charges are one flat rate, i.e. 24/7. The access number is a local rate call (free when using any inclusive plan) and the recharge number costs £1.00 each time you charge or recharge your telephone number. (If you are not with BT, please check with your telephone provider to find out their charges to the recharge number).
Can I use CHEAPESTCHAT from a payphone?
Our access numbers are accessible from any UK phone, including payphones. However, please be aware that calls from payphones may incur a surcharge by the payphone operator and may cost more than the price stated on our website.
Can I use CHEAPESTCHAT from my mobile?
Yes! Calls may be free when using an inclusive plan. However, please be aware that calls from mobiles may incur a surcharge by the mobile provider. The actual surcharge depends on your mobile provider and your individual contract & tariff. Please note that your mobile operator controls this rate on their billing system. We neither have control on their charges nor do we receive any monies from any surcharge. We advise you to contact your mobile phone provider and double check their rates to our access numbers.
Can I use the CHEAPESTCHAT from overseas?
No. Our access numbers will only work from the United Kingdom.
I am a NTL or Telewest customer - can I use CHEAPESTCHAT?
The CHEAPESTCHAT access numbers can be used from most landlines including NTL or Telewest. All charges will simply appear on your NTL or Telewest bill.
When do call charges take effect?
You will be charged from the moment you are connected to our service. However, should your call not be answered you will be informed by our operator and disconnected. Your call should not take more than two minutes.
Can I receive an itemised bill from CHEAPESTCHAT?
No. We do not provide any bills and all charges will be shown on your provider’s regular bill. They will not itemise the international call either.
I have been overcharged by CHEAPESTCHAT!
We cannot overcharge you. The rates to our 0904.. access numbers are set by Ofcom, the UK telecommunications regulator. It is common practice for all landline service providers to adhere to the charges set by Ofcom. However, the rates you are actually charged on your bill depend on the prices your service provider has configured on their billing system. Should you have any dispute with your service provider, please contact Ofcom directly on 0845 456 3000.
